I find it so annoying that I really don't want to use Version 5 at all. This problem has existed in every Version 5 download that I've tried. On the Two-Finger Scrolling window, you will see an option to ‘Enable reverse scrolling direction’. The Scroll Reverser installer is commonly called scrollreverser-1.7.zip, scrollreverser-1.6.zip, scrollreverser-1.6.1.zip, scrollreverser-1.5.1.zip or ScrollReverser1.2.zip etc.

What should happen is that you see the top of the page with maybe some overlap with the previous view - just like happens with forward scrolling. On the clickpad properties window, select ‘Two-Finger Scrolling’. As you scroll backwards you miss the top half of every page. The worst case is when the viewing width is set to display just over half a page. When the amount of the page to be viewed is less than a screenfull, that part of the page is skipped and the reverse scrolling continues with the bottom of the previous page. When you come to the end of a page, there may be some overlap with the previous view. I have tried to update the drivers but that didnt work. When I go to additional settings (mouse properties), I dont see the synaptics device settings tab where it usually has the options to change reverse scrolling. If you scroll forward through a pdf file by clicking in the scroll bar below the scroll box, everything works as it should. When I go to mouse settings, there isnt an option to reverse the 2 finger scrolling direction. Settings: View Single Page, Zoom - anything less than full page.
